Daniil Margulis

Double Bassist Daniil Margulis studied at the Bilkent University music school between 2005-2014 in Ankara-Turkey before joining the Yehudi Menuhin School on a full scholarship in the UK where he graduated from in 2020 as a student of Caroline Emery. He was the principal bassist of The Yehudi Menuhin School string and RCMJD Symphony orchestras. 

As a chamber musician he was featured on BBC radio 3 “In Tune” and was invited to the 8th International Cappadocia Chamber Music Festival. His competition highlights include the grand prize at the 8th international Caspi Art Competition and he was a finalist in Silk Street Sinfonias Young Soloist Competition and ever since he has played many solo concerts in England and Scotland as well as his hometown Ankara. He has performed in countries such as Spain, Switzerland, Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia as well as Turkey and UK. 

Daniil has worked with teachers such as Paul Ellison, David Allen Moore and Enrico Fagone. He continues his studies with Caroline Emery at the Royal College of Music in London on a full scholarship and is kindly supported by Talent Unlimited.
